2. The present writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus, to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 11.04.2025, seeking patta transfer.
3.1. At the outset, Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent may have difficulty in entertaining the petitioner's request made for transfer of patta in view of the pendency of suits in respect of the subject property in O.S.No. 6 of 2025 and O.S.No.514 of 2024 before the Sub-Court, Viruthachalam. 3.2. In any view, it was submitted that the petitioner's application dated 11.04.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, on its own merits and keeping in view the provisions of the Patta Passbook Act and Rules, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of the uploaded copy of the order, after hearing the petitioner and any other interested parties. 4. Recording the above, the present writ petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
