O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 294 (b), 384 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.497 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 26.10.2020 at about 6.00 PM., when the defacto complainant was standing in front of his house, the petitioner abused hime and demanded money and threatened him with knife. Hence, the complainant.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against him. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender and there are five previous cases pending against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into account the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and has five previous cases to his credit, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
