ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the 2nd respondent-Police not to harass the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents-Police and perused the materials available on record.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that one Ms.Kalpana and Mr.Balakrishnan had lodged a complaint against the petitioner herein before the second respondent-Police, due to which, the respondent-Police issued summons to the petitioner. The petitioner has also responded to the summons issued by the respondents/Police. Subsequently, the petitioner filed a suit in O.S.No1276 of 2024 before the I Additional District Court, Coimbatore and the same is pending. The respondents-Police are calling upon the petitioner and harassing him under the guise of enquiry. Hence this petition. 2/5
4. On a perusal of the records, it is seen that the dispute between the parties is civil in nature. The respondents-Police are directed not to harass the petitioner. Further, the petitioner is also directed to work out his remedy before the competent Civil Court, instead of approaching the Police.
5. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
