ORDER

The petitioner, claiming to be the owner of the land covered in Survey Nos.410/2B, 410/2C in plot No.74 measuring about 2400 sq.ft., situate at Pazhayaseevaram Village, Kancheepuram on the basis of the sale deed dated 15.3.2006, has come to this Court seeking a writ of mandamus directing the Tahsildar, Walajabad to issue patta in her name in respect of the aforementioned property.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that from the date of purchase of the land in question, she has been in possession and enjoyment of the same. After purchasing the same, she also approached the Tahsildar, Walajabad to issue patta in her name. However, the respondent, overlooking the fact that the petitioner is a senior citizen making repeated requests, has not come forward to consider her representation dated 11.7.2018.

3. It is at this stage the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has not even enclosed the copy of the previous patta or any other document, except the sale deed dated 15.3.2006 executed in her https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

favour. Therefore, if she makes an application through online by furnishing the other relevant documents including the previous patta, the same will be considered by the respondent.

This Court hereby directs the petitioner to make an application through online to the respondent by furnishing all the particulars viz., previous patta number, sale deed number etc., within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of such application from the petitioner as directed in this order, the respondent shall consider the same and do the needful within a period of three weeks thereafter. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
