O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence publishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) and 4(1-A) of TNP Act in Crime No.569 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 110 liters of Illicit Arrack, without any valid permission. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner was found in illegal transportation of 110 liters of illicit arrack. He would further submit that there are three previous cases against the petitioner and that earlier application for anticipatory bail in Crl.OP.No.14100 of 2020 was dismissed on 15.09.2020. Hence, he would vehemently oppose for the grant of anticipatory bail stating that since the petitioner has got three previous cases, there is no change of circumstances. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Taking into consideration the nature of offence and the fact that there are three previous cases against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
