This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in crime No. 127 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 08.05.2024, based on the secret information the respondent police went to the scene of occurrence i.e., Amman Kovil Street, Krishnappa Street Junction. At that time, the accused persons came on that place with black colour plastic cover and respondent police conducted search on the accused person and found 500 grams of opium and Rs.80,000/- from him. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely implicated in this case and also he is languishing in jail for the past 2 months. Hence, he prays to allow this petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that contraband seized from the accused person is commercial quantity. Hence, he raised objection to grant bail.

5. Considering the fact that the contraband seized from the petitioner is commercial quantity. Hence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. However, the Trial Court is directed to complete the Trial as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed. 18.07.2024 pbl
