Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to take appropriate action as against the representation dated 18.02.2019 given by the petitioner in a manner known to law and ensure peaceful living and existence of the petitioner and her family members in the said locality by exercising all civil rights enshrined in the Constitution of India.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 4th respondent to take action against the 5th respondent and others based on the complaint given by the petitioner on 18.02.2019.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the 5th petitioner who claims himself to be "Oor Gounder", with the help of his power and influence, has virtually ostracised the petitioner and her family. The petitioner has given a representation in this regard to the respondents 1 to 4 to take action against the 5th respondent and to give protection to the petitioner and her family. Since the complaint has not been acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3.Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of allegations made in the complaint, there shall be a direction to the 4th respondent to immediately act upon the complaint dated 18.02.2019 made by the petitioner and call the parties for an enquiry. The 4th respondent shall direct the 5th respondent not to take law into his own hands and if at all he has any grievance, he can only redress the same by approaching the competent authority. If inspite of the instructions, the 5th respondent indulges in any Katta Panchayat, action shall be taken in accordance with law. 5.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
