Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS directing the respondents to produce the detenue Saravanan, son of M.S.Mani, aged 33 years, now illegally detained by the second respondent herein, before this Court and set him at liberty to secure the ends of justice. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the wife of one Mr. Saravanan aged about 33 years. According to her on 12.7.2016 at 9.30 p.m, the second respondent came to her house and took her husband into illegal custody. Thereafter, according to her, he has not been let off. Therefore, she has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Today, Mr.K.Deepak Kumar, Inspector of Police, Manali Police Station, Chennai City has filed an affidavit wherein he has stated that the detenu was enquired by him on 13.7.2016 and thereafter, he was sent along with the petitioner, Mrs.Varalakshmi. He has also produced a letter dated 13.7.2016 given by Saravanan.

3.These facts are not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner. Hence, this petition is dismissed. kua (S.N.J.,) (V.B.D.J.,) 20.7.2016
