There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
2. The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 16.10.2024 preferred against the order dated 08.08.2024 of the 1st respondent.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was employed as Junior Assistant in the 1st respondent on 23.01.1986. However, the vigilance from the Regional Office conducted an investigation on 04.01.2023 and certain allegations were made against the petitioner. However, while looking into the facts, the petitioner submitted an Appeal dated 06.11.2024 and he wants only timely disposal of the appeal. Since the same was not considered by the respondents, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents would fairly submits that they would consider the petitioner's appeal within a reasonable time.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials 2/5
available on record.
6. Though there is disputed facts between the parties, taking into consideration of the fact that the appeal made by the petitioner is yet to be considered, this Court without going into merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's appeal and pass order on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
