Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent herein to treat the petitioner as a "in-service candidate" for the three year Higher Specialty Courses in Tamil Nadu for the session 2016-2017 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to include the name of the petitioner for further counselling and grant admission if otherwise eligible as per the prospectus for the three year Higher Specialty Courses in Tamil Nadu for the session 2016-2017.

The prayer in this writ petition is for directing the third respondent to treat the petitioner as "in-service candidate" for the three year Higher Speciality Courses in Tamil Nadu for the session 2016-2017 and consequently, direct the third respondent to include the name of the petitioner for further counselling and grant admission for the three year Higher Speciality Courses in Tamil Nadu for the session 2016-2017.

2. Considering the fact that the prayer sought for in this writ petition is in respect of the academic year 2016-2017 and also considering the fact that the petitioner was not given admission for the said academic year, I do not think that anything survives in this writ petition to be adjudicated upon further.
