PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent to file a final report in so far relates to Crime No.210 of 2011 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch - II, Egmore, Chennai.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation pending in the Crime No.210 of 2011, dated 28.11.2011.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 28.11.2011, no final report is filed till date and the same is pending for the past 10 years. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that A1 and A2 in this case had obtained a stay in this case and the stay was vacated only two months back. He would further submit that the investigation in this case is at penultimate stage and the documents have been sent to Forensic department. After receipt of the Forensic Report, final report is likely to be filed within a period of six months.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
