Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 9.7.2019 filed under Section 10 of Tamil Nadu land Encroachment Act,1905 and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.3.2019 concerning the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No.140/101, Veppilaikuttai Village, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District.

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.S.L.Sudarsanam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Kamalesh Kannan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. According to the petitioner, she is in possession of property in Survey No.140/101 of Veppilaikuttai Village in Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District. In relation to the said property, the petitioner has preferred appeal on 09.07.2019 to the second respondent, i.e., the Sub Collector, Namakkal Division, Namakkal, under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905. The prayer of the petitioner is that the said appeal be disposed of at the earliest.

3. In view of the limited prayer of the petitioner, we direct the second respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of.

No costs.

Consequently, W.M.P.No.22885 of 2019 is closed.
