..Respondent(s) PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to rectify the erroneous sub division and extent in the revenue records pertaining to the subject property measuring a total extent of 7.67 acres comprised in S.No.417, Nallur Village, Tiruppur South Taluk, and District and to conduct
survey and carry out fresh sub-divisions in line with the report of the 3rd respondent dated 01.03.2023 by considering the petitioners representation dated 09.02.2026.

ORDER
The present respondent has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2026.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he submitted a representation dated 09.02.2026 to rectify the erroneous sub-division and extent recorded in the revenue records pertaining to the subject property. The property measures a total extent of 7.67 acres and is comprised in S.No. 417, Nallur Village, Tiruppur South Taluk and District. The petitioner sought a survey and fresh sub-divisions in accordance with the report of the 3rd respondent dated 01.03.2023. However, the said representation has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court.
3. The learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent is the authority competent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by both sides, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent (District Revenue Officer, Tiruppur) to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law by taking into consideration the report of the third respondent dated 01.03.2023, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
