Respondents in all WPs PRAYER IN ALL WPs: These Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to immediately prepare panel for promotion from the post of Assistant Professor of Dental Surgeon to the post of Associate Professor of Dental Surgeon (Promotion Cadre) in the Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and Hospital Chennai, considering the seniority of all the eligible candidates only on the basis of their seniority as on the cut off dates 15.03.2012 and 15.03.2013 and pass further orders.

C O M M O N O R D E R These Writ Petitions have been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to immediately prepare panel for promotion from the post of Assistant Professor of Dental Surgeon to the post of Associate Professor of Dental Surgeon (Promotion Cadre) in the Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and Hospital Chennai, considering the seniority of all the eligible candidates only on the basis of their seniority as on the cut off dates 15.03.2012 and 15.03.2013.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have already been promoted and as such nothing requires to be adjudicated in these cases and so these writ petitions may be dismissed as infructuous.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, these Writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected M.Ps are closed. No costs.
