consonance with the Birth Certificate of the petitioner and correct the petitioners father name as Ananthakumar N instead of Anantha Kumar in Secondary School Examination, 2023 Mark Statement cum Certificate (X Standard ) and correct the petitioner's father name as Ananthakumar N instead of Ananthakumar in Senior School Certificate Examination, 2025 Mark Statement cum certificate (XII standard) and also in CBSE XII Board transfer Certificate based on the petitioner's representations dated 23.09.2025 and 24.10.2025.

ORDER

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 23.09.2025 and 24.10.2025 seeking alteration/ correction in respect of petitioner's date of birth in petitioner's X Standard Mark Statement-cum-Certificate and petitioner's father's name in CBSE XII Board Transfer Certificate.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the petitioner submitted representations on 23.09.2025 and 24.10.2025 seeking correction of date of birth entered in Secondary School Examination, 2023, Mark Statement Cum Certificate (X Standard) as 01.03.2008 instead of 10.01.2008, in consonance with petitioner's birth certificate and further correction in respect of

petitioner's father's name as Ananthakumar N instead of Anantha Kumar in CBSE XII Board Transfer Certificate based on petitioner's representations dated 23.09.2025 and 24.10.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for respondents that the prayer in the writ petition and the representation that is made are different, he would further submit that if the petitioner seeks correction in Date of Birth, she may have to submit an application before the concerned authority and the appropriate authority in this regard would be the Chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, who is not arrayed as a party in this writ petition.

4. In view of the same, the Chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Integrated Office Complex, Sector-23, Phase-1 Dwarka, New Delhi - 110077, is suo-motu impleaded as the 4th respondent in this writ petition.

5. Keeping in view the request may have a bearing on the admission of student, learned counsel for respondents would submit that if any such application is made in appropriate form/manner by the petitioner, the same would be considered by the newly impleaded respondent, in accordance with law.

In view thereof, it is open to the petitioner to submit an application seeking correction in respect of date of birth and petitioner's father name in the 10th Mark Statement-cum-Certificate and CBSE XII Board transfer Certificate before the appropriate authority. If any such application is filed by the petitioner, the same shall be considered by the newly impleaded 4th respondent in compliance with by-laws, on merits and appropriate orders shall be passed. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.
