O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose of the appeal made by petitioner on 24.04.2025 wherein petitioner has sought for issuance of individual patta in his favour and to sub-divide the subject property.
2. By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The case of the petitioner is that his father inherited the property comprised in Survey No.235/1, New Survey No.235/1A1A, measuring an extent of 6 cents situated at Vanniyanur Village, Kalasapakkam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District from petitioner's grandfather. Subsequently, petitioner's father died leaving petitioner, his mother and brothers and sisters as legal heirs. It is stated that joint patta has been issued in respect of the subject property vide Joint Patta No.763, wherein petitioner's name was also included. Petitioner thus taken out an online application on 01.04.2020 for issuance of individual patta and to sub-divide
the subject property. The same was not acted upon and hence, a representation was made on 11.03.2025. However the said representation was rejected on 11.04.2025. Aggrieved by the same, petitioner preferred an appeal on 24.04.2025 and the same is stated to be pending. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents that concerned respondent would dispose of the appeal within the time frame to be fixed by this Court after affording opportunity to petitioner and any other interested parties which was agreed to by learned counsel for petitioner.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the concerned respondent to deal with the appeal made by petitioner on 24.04.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy
without waiting for the receipt of certified copy, after putting petitioner as well as joint pattadhars and other interested parties including rival claimants if any, on notice. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any view with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the appeal on its own merits and in accordance with law.
