This Criminal Original Petition is filed for speedy disposal of C.C.No.313 of 2022 pending on the file of District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thiruporur.

2. The F.I.R in Crime No.2983/2020 was registered by the respondent police on 05.10.2020. On completion of investigation, final report filed on 03.02.2021, till date, the trial Court has not commenced, therefore, the present petition is filed by the defacto complainant for speedy trial.

3. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent submitted that the case is ripe for examination of witness and summons issued to L.W.1 to L.W.8 for their appearance on 29.08.2024. Therefore, this Court adjourned the matter to 02.09.2024, to know the progress of the trial.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up, the Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondent states that witnesses were present but not examined due to the absence of Public Prosecutor. Totally, the prosecution has listed 12 witnesses to be examined. The case is posted to 03.10.2024. The prosecution should marshall their witnesses and complete the examination of witnesses by end of October - 2024. The prosecution shall not get any adjournments and if he seeks for any reasonable adjournments, the dereliction 2/4

of duty to be brought to the Directorate of Prosecution, for appropriate action. Hence, this Court directs the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thiruporur to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible.

5. With this observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
