ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed, challenging the impugned order dated 28.11.2024 passed by the II Additional Sub Court, Coimbatore, in I.A. No.1 of 2023 in H.M.O.P. No.306 of 2022.

2. Under the aforesaid order, the II Additional Sub Court, Coimbatore, has directed the petitioner to pay interim maintenance amount of Rs.8,000/- per month to the respondent. The petitioner is the husband and the respondent is the

wife.

3. H.M.O.P. No.306 of 2022 was filed by the petitioner against the respondent, seeking for dissolution of marriage. Out of the wedlock between the petitioner and the respondent, a male child was born and is presently in the custody of the respondent. The interim maintenance amount was directed to be paid by the petitioner towards the maintenance of the respondent and her child. The sum fixed by the Court below is only Rs.8,000/- per month. The petitioner contends that the sum fixed by the Court below towards interim maintenance is excessive.

Since the amount fixed by the Trial Court towards interim maintenance is only Rs.8,000/- per month, that too for the respondent as well as her child, this Court is of the considered view that the sum fixed by the Trial Court is a reasonable sum and cannot be interfered with by this Court through this Civil Revision Petition.

5. This Court does not find any infirmity in the impugned order passed by the Court below. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is dismissed by directing the petitioner to pay the arrears of interim maintenance, as fixed by the Court below, to the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. After dismissing the Civil Revision Petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks for a direction from this Court to the Court below to dispose of H.M.O.P. No.306 of 2022 within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

7. After giving due consideration to the fact that the H.M.O.P. is of the year 2022, this Court directs the Court below to dispose of H.M.O.P. No.306 of 2022 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
