Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta on the application made by the petitioners dated 15.2.2012 in respect of property bearing plot No.42, Bhuvaneswari Nagar, Velacherry, Chennai-42, admeasuring an extent of 3340 sq.ft. within the jurisdiction of the 2nd respondent herein. ----- For petitioner :

Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned.

2. At this stage of the hearing of the Writ Petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if this Court passes an order directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioners, dated 15.2.2012, within a time frame.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioners, dated 15.2.2012, if it is otherwise in order, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, and other persons concerned, if any. The petitioners are directed to furnish a copy of the representation, dated 15.2.2012, to the 2nd respondent, along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
