The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 147, 148, 294(b), 324, 364-A, 506(ii) of IPC, in Crime No.206 of 2024 on the file of respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant's brother was involved in dealing gold ornaments with a person named Sathees. While so, on 17.06.2024, Sathees contacted the defacto complainant's brother by phone and asked him to bring two gold bangles to Gandhipuram. Subsequently, the defacto complainant's brother and his son went to Gandhipuram. They did not return after midnight. Later the defacto complainant received a whatsapp message stating that the brother and son had been abducted, and demanded Rs.46 lakhs for their release. Later a sum of Rs.20 lakhs was demanded. Hence, the case.

drl case, whereas he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submit that the petitioner's name was not found in the FIR. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for respondent would raised serious objection stating that the petitioner is a history sheeter, and he has eight previous cases pending against him. He would further submit that the investigation is still pending.

5. Considering the above fact and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by both the counsels and also on considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
