land in comprised in S.No.705, measuring an extent of 6 acres 46 cents, situated in No.54, Mallasamuthiram Village, Denkanikottai Taluk, Krishnagiri District and grant patta in the petitioner's name and mutate all revenue records from "pathway" into the petitioners' name after conducting enquiry by the respondents based on the petitioners' representation dated 16.04.2025 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to assign the land comprised in S.No.705, to an extent of 6 acres 46 cents, situated at No.54, Mallasamuthiram Village, Denkanikottai Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3.On instructions, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the subject land is very much required for public purpose.

4.It is seen from the records that the subject land is classified as Government Poramboke and is being used as a pathway. That apart, the petitioner cannot claim any right for assignment of the subject property in his favour.

5.In view of the above, the request made by the petitioner seeking seeking assignment of the subject land cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition lacks merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed.
