O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tambaram to complete the trial in C.C.No.22 off 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tambaram within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is A1 in C.C.No.22 of 2017, who is facing trial for offence under Section 498 A, 406, 294(b), 326, 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in this case, despite receipt of summons the defacto complainant and her family members have failed to appear before https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the trial Court to proceed with the trial and causing harassment to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that summons have been taken on several occasions to the defacto complainant, her family members and other witnesses and they have failed to respond to the same. Now the case is to be posted on 06.12.2021 and summons have been taken to all the witnesses ie. L.W.1 to L.W.11.

5. In view of the same, the trial Court is reminded that in case of failure of witnesses to respond to the summons, coercive action is to be taken and to see that the trial in this case is to be completed, within a period of three months from 06.12.2021.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
