ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN, J.) The petitioner is the husband of one Sangeetha, aged about 33 years. According to the petitioner, she has been found missing from December 2015. Hence, the petitioner made a complaint to the respondent upon which a case has been registered for 'woman missing' in Cr.No.47 of 2016. Despite the registration of the complaint, the respondent police has not taken any steps to secure the detenue. Hence, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the case is under investigation and seeks time to secure the detenue. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In the circumstances, the respondent is directed to proceed with the investigation and take effective steps to secure the detenue as expeditiously as possible.

5. With this observation, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
