Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to prepare the panel for promotion to the post of Middle School Head Master as per the guidelines issued in Na.Ka.No.5939/ED1/2001 dated 15.11.2001 issued by the Director of Elementary Education, Chennai by placing the petitioner over and above the 3rd respondent who got his probation declared subsequent to the Petitioner and consequently promote the petitioner to the post of Middle School Head Master based on the counseling to be conducted on 28.05.2013, or on any subsequent date.

The learned counsel for the writ petitioner made a submission that during the pendency of the writ petition, the seniority of the writ petitioner has been restored and accordingly, the grievance of the writ petitioner has been redressed. If at all, any grievance exists for the third respondent, it is left open to him to approach the competent authorities for redressal of the same.

2.Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
