ORDER
The writ petition is filed challenging the proceedings dated 30.11.2024, 22.01.2025, 07.04.2025 and 06.02.2025 on the file of the second respondent.
The case of the petitioner is that, he joined the respondent Management on 11.01.2004, as a salesman. On 30.11.2024, he was suspended for selling liquor by fixing additional charges of Rs.20/-. Thereafter, the respondent issued charge sheet on 22.01.2025 and 07.04.2025 and show cause notice on 06.02.2025. Hence the writ petition. 3.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was wrongly suspended. Though, the petitioner has challenged the suspension order dated 30.11.2024, the learned Counsel would fairly submit that if the respondents concluded the enquiry proceedings within a reasonable time, he may not have any serious objection. His further submission is that so far the petitioner was not paid subsistence allowance.

At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent TASMAC would submit that they have already issued second show cause notice and they would complete the enquiry proceedings within a reasonable time. He would further submit that if any representation is received from the petitioner for subsistence allowance, they would consider the same within a reasonable time.

In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to conclude the enquiry proceedings and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the meanwhile, for claiming subsistence allowance, the petitioner is directed to give representation to the respondents within a period of one week from today and on such receipt, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks thereafter.
In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
