The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 5 and 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998, in Crime No.557 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found selling of lottery tickets. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there are totally two accused in this case in which, the petitioner is arrayed as A2. The petitioner along with other accused were found in selling of banned lottery tickets and the petitioner is having four previous

cases similar in nature. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of offence committed by the petitioner, and there is no change of circumstance after dismissal of the earlier petition, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
