This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2021 to modify the patta in S.No.100/13, Sembakkam Village.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband had purchased a gramanatham property to an extent of 5643 sq.ft. in old S.No.39/1, new S.No.100/13, Sembakkam Village, Tindivanam Taluk vide Sale Deed dated 29.04.1977; however, patta was issued to them for a lesser extent of land; as per the patta, since the southern boundary of their land is given to one Narayana Reddiar, they have no access to reach their land directly from the road and therefore, the petitioner's husband submitted a representation to the 1st respondent on 26.11.2018 to resurvey the land and carry out necessary changes and issue fresh patta in his name; while so, the petitioner's husband died on 20.10.2020; thereafter, on 10.04.2021, the petitioner submitted a 2/4
representation to the 1st respondent, seeking necessary modification in the patta, followed by a reminder on 24.02.2023; however, no action has been taken on the said representations. Hence, the present writ petition.

Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 10.04.2021 and 24.02.2023 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 25.07.2024 gya Index : Yes/No To 1.
