This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to issue

necessary instructions to the 3rd respondent to put up a police outpost from the 6th respondent police station in our Vellivoyal Village near Vichur, Chennai-103 at the earliest.

2. Today, Mrs.D.Ramaprabha, Women Sub-Inspector, M7 Manali New Town Police Station, Chennai-103, is present before this Court.

3. The petitioner, who is aged about 64 years, is a dog lover and has about 10 dogs in her house and she feeds the street dogs also. While so, it is the contention of the petitioner that some rowdy elements have assaulted the petitioner and causing disturbance to her. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondentsState.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner requires minimum protection from such attacks.

6. On instructions, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the petitioner's house is located next to Vellivoyal Elementary School and the petitioner's dogs are causing nuisance to the children.

7. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will keep her dogs within her premises and will not let them loose and cause annoyance to any one.

8. The undertaking given by the learned counsel for the petitioner is accepted and recorded.

9. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a petition enquiry was conducted in CSR.No.92 of 2018 and the persons who were disturbing the petitioner have given an undertaking that they will not cause any disturbance to the petitioner.

10. In such view of the matter, this petition is closed, with a direction to the petitioner to ensure that her pet dogs do not cause any disturbance to others and the respondent police shall also ensure that no harm befalls the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
