2. The petitioner was working as Assistant at the Sub Registrar's Office, Manamelkudi. He was dismissed from service on 03.07.2024 under Section 17 (b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules. The grievance of the petitioner is that the appeal dated 11.03.2026 preferred by him against the dismissal order is still pending. Therefore, he is before this Court.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner's appeal dated 11.03.2026 has not been disposed of to date, a direction is issued to 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
