Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that pursuant to the impugned notifications election has been conducted and therefore, the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.
