Respondent Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to issue a direction permitting the petitioner to surrender before the Juvenile Justice Board, Chennai in Crime No.39 of 2016 pending investigation under Section 392 IPC and also to consider the bail application filed by the petitioner under Section 12 of Juvenile Justice Act on the same day of surrender.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a direction to the Juvenile Justice Board, Chennai, to consider the bail application filed by the petitioner on the same day of surrender in Crime No.39 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police.

2.The petitioner is an accused for offence punishable under Section 392 IPC.

3. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side. The materials available on record were also perused.

4.Considering the nature of offence alleged against the petitioner, this Court considers it appropriate to direct the Juvenile Justice Board, Chennai, to consider the bail application of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate order on the same day of his surrender.
