The petitioner herein, who is an accused in P.R.C.No.66 of 2024 on the file of the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai in Crime No.339 of 2024 for 1/3

the offence under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 427, 450, 302, 506(ii) read with Section 149 read with 109 of IPC, seeks bail.

2. The petitioner was secured after issuance of NBW for his nonappearance. The case is of the year 2024 and still in PRC stage due to the repeated absence of the accused persons one after another.

3. The counsel for the petitioner states that the non-appearance of the petitioner on 23.01.2025 was due to the detention in another case.

4. This Court is of the view that, since the case is at crucial stage, if the petitioner is released on bail at this juncture, there will be further delay in the trial. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed for the present with liberty to the petitioner to revive this petition after the case is committed to the Court of Sessions.
