2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that his fatherE.Kumaravel was working as Record Clerk in the Respondent-Office and passed away on 14.09.2018 while he was in service. It is the further submission of the petitioner that immediately after his father's death on 22.02.2019, he has given a representation for compassionate ground appointment, which has not been considered by the respondent for all these years. However, it is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the subsequent recent representation given by one K.Jayachandran, was considered and compassionate appointment was given to him. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent to consider his request for compassionate ground appointment, within a reasonable time.

4. At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would fairly submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation, within a reasonable time. 2/4

5. In such view of the submission, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.05.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed. 19.06.2025 dm Index : Yes/No Speaking order To The Director, Department of Children Welfare and Special Services, Old.No.153, New No.300, Purasaiwalkam High Road, Kellys, Chennai - 600 010.
