Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue community certificate to the petitioner, belongs to Hindu Kurumans community, which is classified as Scheduled Tribe, based upon the community certificate already possessed by the petitioner's grand father, his father and his blood relatives that they are belonging to Hindu Kurumans community.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to issue community certificate to the petitioner stating that he belongs to Hindu Kurumans community, which is classified as Scheduled Tribe, based upon the community certificate already possessed by the petitioner's grand father, father and his blood relatives that they are belonging to Hindu Kurumans community.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader taking notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. The petitioner is said to have submitted an application to the second respondent for issuance of "Hindu-Kurumans Scheduled Tribe community certificate" based upon the community certificates already issued to his grandfather, father and his blood relatives. Since no orders have been passed on the same, he has approached this Court.

4. In view of the above, we direct the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 9.5.2016 for issuance of "Hindu-Kurumans Scheduled Tribe community certificate" and to do the needful in accordance with law after verifying the documents, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
