This Petition has been filed under Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 seeking Succession Certificate relating to the amount in State Bank of India, Kasthuribai Nagar Branch, Adyar, Chennai - 600 020, in the name of the parents of the petitioners K.S.Ramakrishnan and Mrs.Vasantha, who both died intestate. 2.

The two petitioners are the two sons of K.S.Ramakrishnan and Mrs.Vasantha. The second petitioner is represented by the first petitioner as his power of attorney agent. After following due procedure, the petitioners were invited to tender evidence. The first petitioner examined himself as PW-1. The death certificate of his father K.S.Ramakrishnan dated 24.07.2019 was marked as EX.P-1 and the death certificate of the mother Mrs. Vasantha Ramakrishnan dated 05.12.2012 was marked as Ex.P-3, the legal heirship certificate of K.S.Ramakrishnan was marked as ExP-2, the details relating to the bank account were marked as Exs. P-4 to P-7. The original Power of Attorney executed by the second petitioner in favour of the first petitioner was marked as Ex.P-8.

In view of the evidence tendered, this Petition stands allowed as prayed for and a direction for grant of Succession Certificate to the first petitioner with power to collect the debts and to receive interest specified in the schedule is issued.
