Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to correct the mistake in the revenue records in respect of land measuring 25 cents at comprised in Survey No.71/2 Palayamkottai Melapathi Village, Srimushnam Taluk, Caddalore District and issue patta in favour of the petitioner within the time fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 12.11.2020, wherein the petitioner has sought for correction of mistake in the revenue records and consequently to issue patta in his favour with respect to the subject property.

2.Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the third respondent has already called the petitioner for enquiry on 11.01.2021 at 11.00 a.m. The learned counsel submitted that the petitioner can be present at the time of enquiry along with all the relevant documents. The learned counsel further submitted that the third respondent after completion of the enquiry, will submit a report before the second respondent and the second respondent thereafter, will pass final orders. 3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also of the fact that the third respondent has already called the petitioner for enquiry, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to conduct the enquiry and submit a report before the second respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The second respondent on receipt of the report, shall pass final orders strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

4.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
