Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on the representation Dt. 21-12-2017 followed by reminder representation Dt. 03-07-2018 seeking consideration of the benefits of pay scale as per proceedings of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies made in Na.Ka. No. 92088/2008/SF3 Dt. 21-08-2008 on merits and within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard M/s. L. Chandrakumar, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, Learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

The grievance of the petitioners, in this case is that, they made a representation to the respondent dated 21-122017, which is followed by reminder dated 03.7.2018 with regard to the grant of time scale of pay. Since no order has been passed on such representation by the respondent, and as such, they have come to this Court seeking a direction to dispose of such representation within a time stipulated by this Court.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that in the similar facts and situation, this Court has also directed earlier to consider such representation, and as such, he submits to allow this Writ Petition with the relief sought for.

The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent submits that respondent would have no objection to dispose of the representation, but, in accordance with law.

Considering the same, and also, in view of the order passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 13578 of 2018, dated 06.06.2018, in similar facts and situation, this Court dispose of the present Writ Petition at the stage of admission with a direction to respondent to consider such representation of the petitioners within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of the copy of this order, in its own merit, if there is no other legal impediment for disposal of such representation. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on the merit of such representation, in any manner. No costs.
