Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondents to release the vehicles of the petitioner bearing Registration Nos.TN-37-M-3509, TN-47-R-6582 and TN-33-BV-7908 illegally seized by the respondents. ORDER

This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to release the vehicles seized from the petitioner. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the FIR was registered in Crime No.209 of 2023 on 04.07.2023 and in the course of investigation, the vehicles were seized. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the vehicles will be produced before the Special Court by filing relevant form, within a period of one week from today. 3.Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to produce the seized vehicles before the concerned Special Court by filing the relevant form, within a period of one week from today. Thereafter, it is left open to the petitioner to file an appropriate petition seeking for the release of vehicles before the Special Court and the same shall be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law and an order shall be passed, within a period of two weeks from the date of filing of the application before the Court below.

4.This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
