This writ miscellaneous petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to extent the time by one month to make the fixed deposit of the above amount in favour of Registrar General High Court of Madras in W.M.P. No.20499 of 2025 in W.P. No.18300 of 2025 dt.16.05.2026.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to extend the time to make Fixed Deposit in favour of Registrar General of Madras High Court.

This Court granted an order of interim stay on 15.05.2025 in W.M.P.No.20499 of 2025 in W.P.No.18300 of 2025 subject to the condition that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.14,67,173/- (Rupees Fourteen Lakhs Sixty Seven Thousand and One Hundred and Seventy Three only) in a Fixed Deposit with a national bank in the name of the Registrar General, High Court of Madras, Chennai within four weeks from the date of said order.

The learned counsel for petitioner submits that earlier by oversight the petitioner has taken the Demand Draft for the said amount in favour of Registrar General of this Court and now, the petitioner has now deposited the amount in a Fixed Deposit and he is ready to hand over the receipt to Registrar General of this Court and hence, seeks for extension of time.

4. In view of the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is allowed and the petitioner shall hand over the Fixed Deposit receipt to the Registrar General of this Court within a week from today.
