Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of patta in respect of land in S.No.147 Manamthavizhuthaputhur Village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District, in the light of representations dated 10.03.1989 and 14.09.2020, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a limited time.

ORDER

The present writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of patta in respect of land in S.No.147 Manamthavizhuthaputhur Village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.G.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate. The learned Government Advocate on instructions made a statement that concerning the claim of the petitioner, an enquiry of the third respondent is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

scheduled to take place at 11.00 a.m. on 08.01.2021.

3. In view of the statement made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court is of the opinion that no more direction is required to be given, except that the Tahsildar is required to pass a speaking order within a period of eight weeks from the date of enquiry. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
