ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent herein not to harass the petitioners.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the Government of Tamilnadu (Criminal Side).

3. It is the case of the petitioners that the 1st petitioner got married to one Priyavarshini. Shortly after marriage, disputes arose between the 1st petitioner and the said Priyavarshini. Due to which she had lodged a complaint and the same was assigned with C.S.R.No.166 of 2026.

4. The petitioners are directed to co-operate with the police for enquiry and at the time of conducting an enquiry, the petitioners shall not be harassed by the police. The police cannot call the petitioner on a regular basis in the guise of enquiry without even registering an FIR. In any event, the petitioners have to be summoned for their appearance, by giving sufficient time. Further, the enquiry shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
