Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in relating to proceedings of the 1st respondent in Crl.M.P.No.21 of 2015 dated 23.12.2015 against the petitioner's brother Baskar, Son of Arumugam, aged 35 years and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body of detenu who has now been detained under Act 14 of 1982, in Central Prison, Tiruchirapalli before this Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] The petitioner, who is the sister of the detenu, Baskar, Son of Arumugam, aged about 35 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 1st respondent dated 23.12.2015 against her brother branding him as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a "Sexual Offender" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 1st respondent as against the brother of the petitioner dated 23.12.2015 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.761, dated 24.02.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
