O R D E R

(The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) The grievance of the petitioner is that private respondents Nos.5 and 6 are seeking to use for agricultural purposes, the area which was part of feeder canals and the lake situated in S.No.55B/2 in Periya Vadavadi Village Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District.

2. The petitioner claims that the Officers of the Public Works Department visited the site on complaints, but are not taking any effective measures to prevent the illegality of the actions of the private respondents Nos.5 and 6.

3. We thus call upon the Tahsildar/3rd respondent to get the position verified at site, and if the allegation of the petitioner is found to be correct, to take action in accordance with law after notice to all concerned. This exercise be completed within a maximum period of two months from the receipt of this order.

4. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of, leaving the parties to bear their own costs.
