Criminal Original Petition is filed under Sections 528 and 447 BNSS Act, 2023/under Sections 482 and 407 Cr.P.C., to call for the records pertaining to the FIR No.0127 dated 19.06.2024 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Orleanpet, Puducherry and to quash the same.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the F.I.R., in Crime No.0127 of 2024 dated 19.06.2024 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Orleanpet, Puducherry.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that without any prima facie evidence, only based on the complaint given by one Sagunthala Devi/second respondent herein, the first respondent/Police registered the case in Crime No.0127 of 2024 against the petitioner. Therefore, he prays to quash the F.I.R in Crime No.0127/2024.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) appearing for the first respondent submitted that on completion of investigation in Crime No.0127 of 2024, final report has been placed before the Director of Prosecution, Law Department, Puducherry for obtaining legal guidance, in order to finalise the case at the earliest.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records 2/4

available on record.

5. On a perusal of the F.I.R, it is seen that prima facie there are specific allegations levelled against the petitioner, therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work his remedy in the manner known to law.

6. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
