Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records relating to the Detention order No. C2/1456/2016 passed by the third respondent dated 20.01.2016 and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Sarathkumar Son of Kathirvel now confined in Central Prison, Cudddalore before this Court and set him at liberty. [Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] Challenge is made to the order of detention passed by the third respondent vide Proceedings in No.C2/1456/2016 dated 20.01.2016, whereby the detenu, namely Sarathkumar, S/o.Kathirvel aged about 35 years, was ordered to be detained https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
under the provisions of Prevention of Black Marketing and Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act, 1980, (Central Act No.7 of 1980) branding him as a "BLACK MARKETER". 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the third respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 20.01.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.122, dated 07.03.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
