Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to remove the encroachments made by the respondents 6 to 8 in Porur Lake situated between the Porur Village and Athiyur Thirukkai Village in Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District and to stop illegal transportation of River sand from the said Porur lake by seizing the vehicles used for their illegal transportation of river sand and take action against the persons who involved in the said illegal transportation of river sand from the Porur lake in according to law. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.S.Senthilkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader,

assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 5.

2. Learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that Form I has been issued on 18.08.2022 against the encroachers. Now, Forms II and III would be issued. Some mining activity was also observed. Complaint has been filed in respect of the same.

3. In view of the fact that steps are undertaken, no further order is necessary. The writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
