O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to conduct enquiry on the basis of the petitioners' representation dated 17.09.2020 for an immediate action and cancel the fraudulent patta in the name of Late.Ellammal and issue patta in favour of all the legal heirs of Late.Muniammal, the mother of the petitioners herein by making necessary corrections in the records within a time frame.

2.It is the case of the petitioners that the 1st respondent had issued the patta erroneously in the name of Ellammal and therefore, they have given representation to the 3rd respondent seeking for cancellation of the said patta. 3.Mr.A.Arul Doss, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' representation dated 17.09.2020 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.

4.Having regard to the submission made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 17.09.2020 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
