Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the Advertisement No.4/20082009 issued by the 2nd respondent dated 14.08.2008 for the recruitment of Lecturers in the Government Arts and Science Colleges and quash the same and direct the respondents to issue a fresh advertisement by allotting physically handicapped quota in the category of physically challenged peoples, so as to enable the petitioner to apply for the post in computer science subject.

The prayer in the present writ petition is to call for the records relating to the Advertisement No.4/2008-2009 issued by the 2nd respondent dated 14.08.2008 for the recruitment of Lecturers in the Government Arts and Science Colleges and quash the same and direct the respondents to issue a fresh advertisement by allotting physically handicapped quota in the category of physically challenged peoples, so as to enable the petitioner to apply for the post in computer science subject. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. Now, the petitioner's prayer for allotment of separate category for physically handicapped persons, had already been accepted by the State Government of Tamil Nadu given and for the category of physically handicapped persons have been granted at 5%as per the Central Act. Following the Central Act, the State Government has also issued necessary orders fixing 5% quota in services of the State Government vacancies as per the Persons with Disabilities (Equal opportunities, protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 2016. Hence, the petitioner's prayer has been already brought into existence and nothing further survives for consideration in the writ petition for adjudication. The petitioner can apply for the post, under of the said category when recruitment is called for. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
