These applications have been filed seeking to modify the condition imposed by granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.24317 of 2023 and to extend the time to comply with the said order. 2.
This Court while granting anticipatory bail by order dated 28.11.2023, had stated that the petitioner should deposit a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- to the credit of Crime No.7 of 2019 before the learned Special Court (TNPID Act), Chennai. It was also directed that the learned Special Judge should transfer the amount to any interest bearing deposit and pass final orders on conclusion of trial. By these applications, modification of that condition is sought.

Learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner is not directly involved in the affairs of the company and that he is only an agricultural coolie.

Taking all the factors into consideration, the condition directing the petitioner to deposit a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- to the credit of Crime No.7 of 2019 is modified to Rs.1,00,000/-. In view of the said modification, time is extended for two weeks for executing sureties and for compliances. The other conditions may remain the same. Accordingly, both the Miscellaneous Petitions are allowed.
