ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested on 21.08.2021 and remanded to judicial custody for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 366A IPC , Sec 9(1) r/w 10 of POSCO Act, in Crime No.681 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had kidnapped the victim girl and detained her in his friend's house. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is in no way connected with the alleged offences by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that he has been in jail from 21.08.2021. He further submitted that there was a wordy quarrel between the petitioner and the defacto complainant, and as a result of the same, a false case has been given. Hence he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the victim girl is aged about 17 years and she is an employee of the petitioner. He further submitted that the petitioner is a married man and is having two wives. He also further submitted that the petitioner had given spiked cool drinks to the victim girl as a result of which, the victim girl became https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

unconscious. Thereafter, she was taken to Cuddalore and kept in illegal custody in his friend's house. He further submitted that statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C., has also been recorded from the victim girl. He also further submitted that there are serious allegations made against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed granting of bail to the petitioner.

5. On perusal of the statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C., it is seen that there are serious allegations made against the petitioner and considering the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
